Souls, prepare yourselves. Winter is coming. While we’re a little bummed that the sunny summer days are quickly coming to an end, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Snowboard season is right around the corner. Colorado, being the mecca of skiing and snowboarding that it is, is the obvious choice for the location of many stellar season kickoff events.

Snowboard on the Block, the North American Snowboard Film Festival, is the largest snowboard season kickoff event in history and is returning to downtown Denver on September 13th, 2014. This event is undoubtedly unique and badass. It’s got something for everyone in the snowboarding community, featuring the year’s top videos (shown on the largest high definition LED screen in the country), an expansive and diverse lineup of musical acts performing on three different stages, and a live rail jam going down on 25 tons of real snow featuring some of snowboarding’s top stars. The festival will be a rowdy gathering for riders of all types – pros, industry veterans, and fans, and is sure to get everyone unbelievably stoked about the upcoming season.

Here’s a quick rundown of everything you can expect to get into at the festival:
  • The festival has worked hard to kick it up a notch in terms of its musical performances, which we are more than a little pumped about. An awesomely diverse lineup of artists from the worlds of metal, punk, hip hop, rap, soul and way more will take over three massive stages:

MisfitsMobb Deep, Total Chaos, Expire, The Reminders, Speedwolf, MF Ruckus, Victory Heights, The Pitch Invasion, Whygee, Lola BlackGit Some, DJ MFM, King Rat, Unreasonable Human, Plan-B Rejects, Pizza Time and more.

  • Prepare to get chilly – the most epic pro rail jam the streets of Denver have ever seen is about to go down.
  • An unbeatable snowboard gear super sale (Seriously… Up to 75% off!)
  • Feeling a little rebellious? Free tattoos all day long courtesy of Sailor Jerry Rum (The rum might help the rebellious bit)
  • Get your ramp on – Mini ramp skate sessions for festival goers.
  • Huge gear giveaways from all of the top brands in the industry.
  • Delicious food and drinks from many local vendors to keep you going all day long.
