If you’re like many Coloradans you’ve likely noticed the local, craft beer scene’s propensity for constantly pushing the limits of ABV in their brews. And if you’re like all of us you’re getting older, meaning your ability to throwback a couple of these ass-kicking beers and still wake up on time the next day. Well the good folks of breweries around the state feel your pain, they are after all definitely drinking more than you’re average joe, and have responded with the emerging trend of session beers! What’s a session beer you ask? Well it’s generally considered a beer with less than 5% ABV, so you can enjoy a couple out on the river and still make it in to work the next day. The beauty here is that there is no specified style of session beer so they can and do run the gamut. Enter Sesh Fest. A first-of-its-kind event from the good folks over at Imbibe Denver. This Saturday, August 2nd session beers will be taking over the Denver Sculpture Gardens. For 20 bucks you’ll get 6-six oz pours from an unreal selection of beers from around the state, upgrade to the “all-you-can-session” pass for 30 and you’ll be able to session until the cows come home! All this paired with grub, yard games and tunes from DJ Shannon Von Kelly and Tyler Snow, and we’ve got an event that’s not to be missed.
