Do you believe that what we put in our bodies controls our bodies? What if we could reverse diseases that afflict us by rejecting animal-based and processed foods.

Forks Over Knives is a documentary that is available to stream on Netflix and encourages people to live healthier lives by changing the way the world understands nutrition. The film makes a convincing case that if we change our eating habits from an animal-based diet to plant-based, modern diseases (such as heart disease, inflammatory diseases, and type 2 diabetes) can be prevented, halted, and often reversed.

For the longest time, we’ve been told that our bodies need protein from consuming meat and as it’s the biggest concern of not getting enough protein from a plant-based diet, many people aren’t educated on the fact that there is protein in other foods than just meat.  Take a look below to see where protein from plant-based foods comes from:

Plants have all the protein you need with none of the violence and none of the health risks.

In one recent preliminary study of more than 450,000 adults, those who followed a plant-based diet that was 70 percent plants had a 20 percent lower risk of dying from heart disease or stroke than those whose diets centered on meat and dairy.

Plant-based diets fill your body with fiber, vitamins, minerals, and healthy fats. The lifestyle diet improves health, skin, decreases/completely eliminates bloating, improves vision. Even if you are the healthiest you could be, would you consider switching to a plant-based diet?
