Our friends over at the Seeds of Change Foundation have undertook a massively inspirational project they’re calling Ride OM! Foundation President Chris Gish and Chair Eric Goodline are on a huge bike ride from Colorado to California to raise 1 penny per mile from contributors for the Lali Gurans Orphanage and Library in Nepal.

You can actually track them live on their route

But what’s the purpose of this ride? Well first off it’s a testament to Chris Gish’s force of will who, after terrible car accident, was left paralyzed. Through determination and a vow to help those less fortunate than he should he recover, has now regained full functionality and is ready for this insane physical challenge. But more importantly the team is riding to California to hand deliver grants prepared to help raise money to complete the orphanage. With a story this inspirational we’re sure these guys are going to secure plenty of funds for this worthy cause.

The construction of the orphanage was temporarily put on hold in the wake of the earthquake that left much of Nepal devastated. Of course Seeds of Change rose to that call as well, raising half a million dollars to help victims. And much like their amazing commitment to charity, the unfinished orphanage has proven unshakeable. This modern, ultra-stable facility will certainly prove to be a vital asset to this direly underserved community.

The orphanage, looking tough despite huge seismic activity.

So, the only question that remains is how can you get involved? Well first of all be sure to follow along for the ride and provide your support via social media (links below). But more importantly the guys need your support during the ride so visit their Go Fund Me page to help them raise the money need to complete this inspiring trip!
