Looking to step into the music industry? Well you may be in luck as Souls In Action is starting the hunt for our next  team member! This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door in the Colorado music industry and garner expansive, real-world marketing experience. We’ll give you tangible responsibilities and thus plenty of opportunities to show us what you’re made of! This internship, that can turn into a part-time position, will work with our Digital Marketing Director to execute SIA’s digital strategy on social platforms with an eye on real-time marketing.

This position is for someone who not only gets social media, but is passionate about making it better, and wants to use music to do so. This position will be responsible for helping us promote shows properly, and grow the SIA brand. 


  • Actively administrate, monitor, respond, and curate social media feeds for Souls In Action (Facebook, SoundCloud, Twitter, Instagram)
  • Engage in two-way social media conversations with artists, venues, promoters, and fans
  • Maintain and update content relevant to events and music industry happenings on the SIA website
  • Write in a professional, lively manner that represents the SIA brand in all communications
  • Act as a first responder to the digital marketing needs of SIA as they arise (we need you to be constantly connected to our social feeds, and to react before we even have time to notice)
  • Create original social media content for the SIA feeds, as well as curate shared content to engage SIA audiences
  • Ensure that event posting schedules are being met and exceeded
  • Assist with the creation and execution of large, long-range event marketing campaigns
  • Lend a hand with other relevant marketing activities at SIA as they come up (we’re a start-up everyone wears multiple hats)

Your Skills:


  • Ability and willingness to stay constantly connected to Souls In Action social media accounts
    • We need you to be able to respond to needs as they arise in under 15 minutes
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal hours (we’re promoters, nights and weekends are the norm)
    • Must be willing to work from home and some nights and weekends (especially during events) to ensure that our marketing updates are always flowing.
  • Previous experience using social media in a professional capacity
    • Experience in music marketing preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (you’ll be writing lots of content)
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to be onsite at events to create content and assist other SIA activities
  • Desire to show us what you’re made of and make SIA social media feeds the most lively they’ve ever been
  • CREATIVITY – We’re all about out-of-the box uses for social media, show us what you’ve got.
  • Must have mobile access to email and own computer (this will just make everybody’s life easier).
  • You’ll be working extensively with our current Marketing Director, so even if you’re missing some skills just show us how you’re ready to learn and we’re all for it!


  • Previous experience in digital media, PR or music business
  • Experience with the WordPress CMS
  • Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite


Hours: 6 hours in office required per week

        -will also require up to 4 additional hours of telecommuting per week

Dates / Compensation: 2 month training / test period followed by performance review & payment discussion
