If there’s any band that’s being neglected in Denver’s jam scene it’s The Heavy Pets. Hailing from South Florida, this 5 piece band is known for seamlessly combining genres like disco, funk, jazz, and reggae with rock & roll. A group of true performers, The Heavy Pets read the audience like a poem, creating a live experience that can send the mildest venue into a frenzy of activity. Called “a living, breathing, force of nature” by Relix Magazine, The Heavy Pets create music that anyone can connect with.

For those of you who’d like to get better acquainted with The Heavy Pets why not start with their newest EP ‘Rags and Aces’ from which the featured video ‘Dewpoint’ is drawn. This 3 song EP, released in May of 2014, features one song penned by each of the band’s principle songwriters and is a great demonstration of The Heavy Pet’s versatility. Grab your copy of the EP (digital, CD, or vinyl) here.

For all our friends in Colorado mark your calendars, The Heavy Pets are playing 2 nights at Cervantes Other Side October 17th & 18th. Grab a ticket here.
