This week on The Groove we have a real special treat for you all–I know we say that every week, but this week it’s extra special!! We have the one and only Todd Edwards!! If you’re not familiar with the name, don’t worry, you are familiar with his work. Todd Edwards is the only artist to have collaborated with Daft Punk more than once: co-producing, co-writing and singing vocals on the tracks “Face to Face,” from the 2001 album Discovery, and “Fragments Of Time,” on 2013’s Random Access Memories; the latter of which earned Todd Edwards his first 2 Grammy wins (Best Dance/Electronica Album, and Album of the Year). In addition, Todd Edwards has remixed artists ranging from Wildchild, St. Germain, Benjamin Diamond, Justice, Klaxons and Dimitri From Paris. This is not just an extra special edition of The Groove because we’re featuring such an iconic figure in the Dance Music community, but as with all the artists that we feature, Todd Edwards will be playing at this week’s HOME Denver, and this week’s HOME is a very special HOME!! This is the final HOME to take place at NORAD Dance Bar. Don’t worry though, while NORAD may be closing its doors, HOME will live on!! We will be moving our weekly HOME event’s to Bar Standard. The first installment of HOME Denver to take place at Bar Standard will be May 30th, and will feature Tourist. So while this may be a bittersweet edition of The Groove, in that it’s the last to cover an artist at NORAD Dance Bar–a place that we have created so many great memories–we are closing out this chapter of HOME Denver with the legendary Todd Edwards, and the conclusion of this chapter just marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for both HOME Denver and The Groove. If you haven’t had a chance to check out HOME yet, this would be the perfect time to do so, and there will be a rare and special surprise for those in attendance this Friday!! See you on the dance floor!!!
